Look out dog world! Keep On Wagging! is working on a dog event streak this February.

…and since it’s the heart of  Hockey Season and we’re Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Fans (yes, there really are hockey fans in the South) we think that we should call our streak a Dog Hat Trick.

If we were horse people (AKA REALLY, REALLY BIG DOGS) we might call it a Triple Crown. But we’re not horse people, no disrespect to you horse people out there of course, so we’re sticking with the the hockey reference.

So, what is a Dog Hat Trick?  In hockey, a hat trick is when a player scores 3 goals in a single game.  It happens, but it’s rare (that’s why it has a name).  Well, since we made it up, we’ve decided it’s a month where we attend all three of our favorite dog events:  Agility, Flyball and Confirmation

We’re starting the month, and our streak, with an Agility event in Florida.

In the hockey world, the fans toss their hats into the rink to show their appreciation for the feat and to join in the celebration.  We think that the appropriate fan response for a Dog Hat Trick would be to give a big ole WOOF!
