I received an email today and learned the story of a little boy that really touched my heart, both as a parent and a dog person. If you or your business/organization can help, I’d encourage you to visit Joshua’s Facebook page or contact Nancy (contact info below) for additional opportunities.

I am having a fundraiser for a little boy named Joshua that is badly in need of a service dog. Joshua has autism and epilepsy and his family is trying to raise $15,000 to get him a seizure alert dog. A local restaurant is donating a portion of their sales to help fund the cost of the dog. I am donating a portion of my sales as well as teaming up the the local SPCA and having an auction to raise money for this little boy. To see his story you can see his page on facebook “Joshua’s journey 2010″ or look at this article in our local paper…

I’m asking anyone that is able to, donate an item that we can raffle off to help this family. I had a similar fundraiser two years ago to raise money for a bullmastiff that was going to be euthanised because she needed knee surgery and with your help we raised over $3000 to get her the surgery she needs.
So if you have something in your shop that isn’t selling, overstock of a particular item or you just want to donate something you think we can raffle to help raise the money needed, please let me know! Anything is appreciated!

If you are able to send an item to raffle off! The fundraiser will take place the last Saturday in February.
Please help us raise money for this little boy so the world can see that dogs are not just property to be kept chained up or neglected. They are here to help us. I truly believe this will help the world see how valuable dogs really are.
Thanks so much!
