**** Dogs are being transported to safety thanks to the joint effort of several dog lovers!   You can view a 6/15 update HERE.

I’m passing this information on in hopes that some of my friends may be able to assist in transporting 2 Adult labs and 4 puppies to a no-kill animal shelter.

If you are between Franklin, GA and Asheville, NC or Chattanooga, TN you may be in  a great position to help save these dogs.

Still no help from Georgia, but someone has offered Chattanooga to Knoxville which means we now only need Franklin, GA to Chattanooga! Thank you @LastChancePets. That is only a 3 hour drive from Franklin, GA to Knoxville left to fill.

A few more volunteers in between and it can be so easy for all. I will be driving a 2.5 hour drive to get them in Knoxville if they head this way through there.

The dogs are lying there in Franklin with no idea that help could be on the way, please help get them to safety.

Update as of 3:30pm, Sat June 13th
I am the rescue director of Canine Hope Rescue in East TN and am helping pull dogs from a shelter that were due for euthanasia this past Friday in Franklin, GA. The shelter workers gave us until Monday to pull them.

There are 2 adult labs that were abandoned when their owners moved and left them at the home to starve or worse! There are also 4 puppies that all came in from different places after having been dumped.

All dogs have committed rescues to take them. I can’t get help to get them to the rescues or me! The shelter worker has agreed to open up the shelter for us after hours either Saturday till 9pm or starting on Sunday at 6am.

I need someone to go to the shelter: Heard Co Animal Control Ctr, 11818 GA Hwy 100, Franklin, GA 30217 and head them toward either Knoxville, TN or Asheville, NC.

The pups have a private pilot from PilotsNPaws willing to add them to a transport from Knoxville to fly them to Illinois. I just need to get them there to the airport hanger by 8am Sunday morning.
