Wag! Wag! I just found out today is Squirrel Appreciation Day.
(no, seriously… I didn’t believe it at first either but it’s true…)
This year it kind of snuck up on me so I didn’t really have time to prepare… I asked my twitter dog buddies for suggestions on the perfect Squirrel Appreciation gift for the squirrel that has everything… I got some great suggestions:
- A nut cracker
- A nice bag of nuts (that was last year’s present so, no…)
- Fur Hat– made of Cat
- A litttle squirrel sweater (Really! See it Here)
- Tiny hat and booties… It’s cold outside
- and Kevlar acorns.. (? look out little squirrels)
All of these were great but none was ‘just right’ for that special squirrel in my life… (the one that hangs out in front of my back door… taunting me… teasing me… making me drool…. ummm, where was I?)
So I decided just to write a poem and dedicate it to a squirrel… (Oh, I hope he(she? who can tell?) likes it…
