Wag! Wag! Circle! Circle! The Holidays are here and it’s time to Celebrate the Season!  It’s also the perfect time to remember how great our lives really are!  I hear my people talking about stock market crashes… (I didn’t do it… it was the cat… no, really… I saw her do it) people losing their jobs and others just finding it hard to make it through each day…

Those of you who have been my friends for a while know that I like to say… Keep On Wagging!  But do you really know what that’s all about?  It’s as simple as enjoying life, wherever life takes you…  Think of it this way… If life gives you tennis balls… play fetch!

Maybe it’s a new smell in your yard, a stick you find that is just right for fetching, a sunny day in winter that is just right for taking a nap outside or maybe its a little chuckle when you read about one of my adventures (you at least chuckle, right?).  Wherever your life has taken you there’s always a reason to Keep On Wagging!

This season I hope we all take a few minutes to appreciate the good things in our lives… the things that allow us to Keep On Wagging!   Here are the top 10 things that help me Keep On Wagging!

10.  Thanksgiving Squirkey! Okay, I made that up but wouldn’t it be great?  Probably would taste like chicken…yummmmmm!

9. Cats. Love ‘em or chase ‘em… they definitely make life more interesting

8.  Ice Cubes. Crunch! Crunch! … and to top it off they help me keep my sleek shape… how can something so simple be so good?

7.  Boys and Girls who are still learning how to eat off a plate.   … a little food dropped here… a sandwich left unattended there… smack, smack… just last night I had a half of a grilled cheese sandwich treat …

6.  Squirrels! City squirrels, beach squirrels, country squirrels…  someday I’m actually going to catch one… no seriously… and when I do… I’ll…. I’ll … well I’m not sure what I’ll do but I will sure be wagging!

5. My tail. Do you have any idea how many hours of enjoyment I have had just chasing that thing around?  … and of course, without my tail what would Keep On Wagging! be about?

4.  Tennis Balls. Someday I’ll meet the dog who invited tennis balls and give him a big lick (it had to be a dog… probably a retriever…)

3.  Home. Whether home is in the city, by the beach in the country or somewhere in between, we don’t always realize just how important home is.  Unfortunately, many, many dogs and cats don’t have a place to call home this Holiday season.  Make sure you check out Iams Home 4 the Holidays and see if there’s a way you can help an orphaned dog or cat Keep On Wagging! this Holiday season.

2.  Friends. What a lucky dog I am to have so many waaaayyyyy cool friends!  Happy Thanksgiving to Molly and Tia and Rambo and Chiquillo and Miss Fluffy and Roxanne and Rusty and Djembe and Jake and Tycho and Bailey and Echo and Crash and Mogley and Behr and whew… the list goes on and on…

1. Family.  Who else would reach way under the sofa to fetch the tennis ball I lost, give me treats, walk me around and around and around in every kind of weather so I can find exactly the right spot to leave my poop, scratch me behind the ears, brush my fur, vacuum up all the fur they miss when they brush me and, oh yeah… let me give them big wet doggie kisses…
