[Editor's Note:  I was going thru some of Max's old posts and wondered how many dogs and people have never seen some of his 'older' stuff.  I'm guessing it's quite a few since we have so many new friends.  With that in mind I thought I'd put a short re-run into the mix (it's not blog sweep weeks yet...).  This is still one of my favorite adventures.  It's also where Max first introduced his friend Molly.  Hope you enjoy! ]

Max the Golden Retriever Visits the Vet  (original air date: January 25, 2008)

What??  Where did the poodle go…  The grass is all gone… what’s happenning…  Oh I’m awake again. 

What are they doing…  is that…. could it be…. yes… it’s the LEASHHHHHHH!!!!!  Time to go outside,  time to go outside ….  jump, jump, wag, wag, wag,   circle, circle, circle….  okay…  you can do it…. sit, sit, sit…….  can’t do it have to circle,  happy, happy,   okay…. sit, sit, whew.  Doors Open…. run, run, run… STOP…. man I hate when I hit the end of that leash…

Okay, 1, 2 3… jump into the back of the car….  going for a ride, going for a ride…. going for a ride…  I hope we’re going to the lake….  cool swim…. lots of rabbits and squirrels to smell and chase…  maybe it’s the park… love the park.. maybe Lucinda that hot spaniel will be there….  HEY!!! you missed the turn for the lake…..   Ahhhh,  feel the wind in my hair..  Look my tongue is flapping….. that’s fun…. What the?  There went the park entrance….   where are we….  could it be….  uhhooo… it couldn’t be…. no, is it already time again?   THE VET!!!!  

Okay, be cool… jump down and sniff it out…. don’t pee on the floor like last time…  that was so embarasing.  I’ll never be able to face that dashound again…..  Okay…. I’m calm….  I’m good…  Oh, cool… it’s Dr. Jon….. I like Dr. Jon… he gives good doggy kisses….   and his breath smells like scooby snacks…. 

Hey Dr. Jon… how’s it…..?  What’s that on your hand…. a glove?   What’s that fo…. No, not there… I don’t swing that way….  come on, where’s the dignity?  How many fingers you using back there Doc?   Okay,  that’s over…..  Smile…. Smile…. Yes, I do have lovely teeth….  been chewing my bones….  hate the tooth brush thingy…. why does it takes like chicken anyway?  Sticky, moldy chicken I’d say…

Hey, Molly the poodle!  Remember me from the lake…  Yes, my butt still smells the same…. Yours?  You chewed up their what?  HAHAHA….  I did that once…  what a pain coming out though, huh?    Hey, Molly, watch out for Dr. Jon.   He’s wearing the gloves today….  yeah, tell me about it…  2 this time I think…hey, come over later…  I think there’s a new cat next door….

Okay….  jump down from the table….  easy, easy,  don’t want to wipe out like last time….  embarassing…  why are the floors so slippery in here anyway….

Okay… I’ll get on the scale…  really, I’ve felt a litte bloated lately… big breakfast…  78 pounds?  No problem…. I’ll just pull that boy around the block an extra time or two tomorrow….  he puts up a heck of a fight, but I always win…. wag, wag…

Time to go…  Hey, don’t forget my…. come on… I see the bowl…. okay…. DOWN HERE….  treat me… come on… 2 would be nice… one for each finger….  come on…. munch…. munch… munch…. wag, wag, slobber, slobber, slobber…
