… sniff… sniff… wonder what’s good in the newspaper this morning… ever wonder why the Monday paper is always so small? … don’t people do newsworthy stuff on the weekends? Most of my coolest adventures come on the weekends…

… Animal sports section… looks like the Rays won some kind of big fetch game yesterday… (yeah, I know they’re not the ‘Devil Rays’ anymore, but I say a Ray by any other name is still a Ray…)  

… let’s see… paw, paw… sniff, sniff… anything about those bird’s that play a game using a pig’s skin? … here it is… the Ravens beat the Dolphins… Duhhhh… they played the game on a grass field… how good could a Dolphin possibly play fetch on dry land? … I say play the next series in the water and see how good those Ravens can swim…

… what about political news? … let’s see… Donkey candidate gives speech offering to give every dog whatever treats he or she wants… intriguing offer… what about the Elephant? … flip… flip… yep, just what I thought… another speech promising pretty much the same thing… oh, yeah, and lipstick for every pit bull… surprise… and of course, although I not surprised about this… nothing from any of the Canine Party 2008 candidates… 

We’ve really got to work on our press relationships… I know it’s an uphill battle since we’re dealing with the human leaning Mainstream Media…  at least they could throw us a bone or two… maybe the animal news network, Fox News could extend a paw to us..  or how about at least some coverage in the ‘Local’ section of the newspaper…   sure, there are always stories in that section about the poor homeless pets… (as important as that is to cover) but maybe it’s time they included some ‘empowered’ pets too…   more stories like the one CNN.com ran about blogging pets… (shameless plug, I know… but what’s a blogging dog to do?)

… anything interesting in the lifestyle section? … check it out… box office ratings show that the movie about a Chihuahua from some hilly place called Beverly (it think it’s the same place the Clampetts moved to after they found all that black gold….)  is making a LOT of money… who knew a Chihuahua could be that popular? I mean don’t people know about all the shaking they do? … and then there’s the little ‘piddling’ problem some Chihuahuas like my friend Chiquillo have…  Of course they do fit nicely in a Gucchi carry bag… that’s got to be a plus… last time I was that small I was 2 days old… All I can say is “Yo Quero, Taco Bell”…

… oh.. here’s an interesting article about Dogs and Cats. I can’t read title, but it looks like it must be about that best selling book titled “Dogs are from Pluto and Cats are from Venus” (or something like that…) I’ve always known that cats were up to no good… here’s the proof…. I chewed out the article so you could see it for yourself….
